What is a nice place to live between Abingdon and Reading, UK?
My partner has received a job offer in Abingdon, and I’m hoping to work in Reading. The company is offering to pay up to £5000 to relocate if we settle within 15 miles of Abingdon.
My partner has a car and drives; I rely on public transportation.
If I get a job in Reading, it will probably require me to travel to London once a week or fortnight.
With these factors in mind (must be within 15 miles of Abingdon and must be able to commute to Reading and possibly London via public transportation), what towns should I be looking at when deciding where to move?
Didcot or it’s surrounding villages would seem the obvious choice because you can get trains direct to Reading and London and Abingdon is only a few miles away.
