Can you live on Maui without a car?
I lived on Maui 10 years ago but shipped my car over. It would have been hard to live there 10 years ago without a car. I’m moving back but this time without a job first. So I won’t be shipping my car over until later. Has public transportation improved at all and will I be able to get around without a car?
The local buses in the Waikiki area are pretty good and cheap. Only if you want to get to the more remote area or travel late at night are they a bit iffy. Plenty of taxi’s available if that’s what you need. I spent a month there recently and found no need for a car.
