public transportation orlando to tampa
Which city is better to live in Miami FL, Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL?

I will be going to graduate school next year and I was wondering which one of these a good place to live overall ??
The schools are
Florida International University-Miami,
University of Central Florida-Orlando
University of South Florida-Tampa?
…Are the apartments reasonably priced? Are the people friendly??? Are there places to go there??
How much are the apartments a month?? Are the people nice overall. I am asian and people are two faced here in Texas. I wont have a car so do they provide public transportation…how much is it??
Thanks

My daughter has Asian friends she went to private high school with in Tampa. Most of them live in New Tampa and Temple Terrace and there are a number of them at USF. If your graduate program is available at the St. Pete Campus, most of the students there live downtown and walk to class, the supermarket and the drug store. There are buses in Tampa and you can get a monthly bus pass. You will have to make sure that you live on the bus route. You can get apts for $550 and up in Tampa. I would suggest you try to room with other graduate students so you make friends. Ask the housing office for help or try www.tampa.craigslist.org. I shared a house with other graduate students when I was working on my advanced degrees and it was a big help. As I told you in another answer, Miami is much more expensive and if you don’t speak Spanish, you will get snubbed. I don’t know anything about UCF. I do know that USF is considered a better school than UCF and FIU. The state ranks the top research universities as being UF, FSU and USF. The others are the next tier down.
