I Miss Home?
Ok so I moved from Sacramento, Ca in Feb. 2008 to Fayetteville, NC and I miss it to death. I lived in Sacramento all my life and living out here makes me long for the weather, the constant activity, the public transportation (which they don’t have out here), and most of all I just miss home.
What’s been going on out there? I’ll probably be coming home in a couple of weeks. I just want updates.
I’m 20 yrs old.
I remember nights when I said to myself, “I have to get out of Sacramento its just too boring.” I feel like kicking my own butt now. LoL.
I know the feeling.. I moved from Sacramento after being born and raised there for 27+ years (29 yo, BTW), to Topeka KS in July 2006. I’m headed back for a week next month myself, as I usually make it a point to fly back out to Sacramento to visit friends and family at least twice a year.
I’ve thought while in Sacramento for a long while that I needed to get out of Sac cos it’s boring. Then, I come here, and there’s hardly any public transportation (1 hour intervals, and the buses stop running at 6P??), the City apparently has a fear of sidewalks cos there’s hardly any, even in parts of downtown, there’s even less to do here (mostly bars, a maybe one or 2 clubs; nearest fun city is either Lawrence or Kansas City).. At least with Sacramento, you can hop on Amtrak to get over to San Francisco for a day or weekend..
Lately, there’s been a ton of wildfires and it’s been affecting the air in the Sacramento area, to the point that Cal-OSHA is telling folks no to work outside if they have the option, and to wear respirators. Also, Ah-Nold has discouraged the use of any fireworks, even legal ones, due to the drought situation.
