How do I get to Lanikai beach from Waikiki through public transportation?

Called the Bus company. The operator will give you instruction as to where to board the bus, what is the bus schedule. And coming back to Waikiki, make sure you ask if you are suppose to take the same bus #, at the opposite or same bus stop. Yes, some buses use another route to come back, some change bus # half way (especially the round island bus). Then, ask the bus driver to tell you to get down. Confirm with the bus drive how to get back to Waikiki again.
Be sure to ask about the bus schedule to come back to Waikiki too. Also, get to the bus stop at least 15 min (if the bus schedule is an hourly one), you wouldn’t want to miss the bus. They can come early or later… personal experience.
