Whats the best method of getting to wrigley field from milwauke by means of public transportation?
You can actually save time and walking once you get to Chicago’s Union Station by exiting to the west (Clinton Street, by the Great Hall, the historic part of the station). Turn left (south) on Clinton Street and walk three blocks south to the blue line subway (underneath the I-290 overpass). Take the blue line (O’Hare-bound) two stops east to Jackson and walk transfer (through a pedestrian tunnel straight from the platform) to the red line. Then take the red line (Howard-bound) north to the Addison stop (about a 15-minute ride). Addison is an elevated station on the north side. You’ll see Wrigley Field in front of you (just to the west) as you leave the train. Turn right when you exit the station, and you’re essentially there.
The Amtrak fare from Milwaukee is about $20 each way. CTA fare is $2.25, or you can get an unlimited ride day pass for $5.75.
