trail ride money issue…?
i board my horse at a barn and the owner there has asked me to be her trail ride guide. so i do trail rides there on a regular basis for 2-5 people. when i first started doing them she had told me i would get between 35% and 40% of the profits (she’d get more because its her horses i use and i use my horse as the leader) well recently i’ve been getting 25% or less…i cant figure out why. maybe she just doesnt realize it or is she using me…i e-mailed her and asked her about it but i dont want to sound greedy. what should i do? plus…its not easy work tacking up between 3 and 6 horses by myself so i think i should get a fair share of the money.
You should contact her in person.This is a job just like any other job. Would you let your boss cut your pay without knowing why? If she is running short on cash ask for a reduction in the board bill. Her excuse for cutting your pay will more than likely be expenses has gone up (feed, hay,ect). You do the work and you earn the pay agreed upon…
