Milwaukee east side bike routes?
I’m looking for some new routes around Milwaukee, Wisconsin starting from the East Side (UWM neighborhood). I share a car so I don’t use it often and I’m having troubles getting a ways without running into a rough area of town. I’ve been doing Lakefront, Santa Monica and the Oak Leaf for the most part. Any other cool areas around for those of you that ride here?
Or does anyone know of a website for exchanging routes for bicycles?
It’s hard to get from UWM to anywhere without going through a bad part of town. But the old houses in that area are so cool. What about that East Brook Park? It’s in a rough area though isn’t it? If you can get to West Allis, there’s a really long bike trail that runs out and past Brook Field, I used to ride that one a lot. It start in Greenfield park and runs parallel to the RR trax. I think it connects to other trails and goes all the way to madison. That doesn’t help does it :0( That East side is so old and cool.
