The Tucson area has a playground serene desert surrounded by four mountain ranges which offer all sorts of recreational opportunities. For example, the hike to a waterfall canyon desert, riding a horse on a mountain trail, or spend the day boating and fishing.

Tucson also share a spectator sport. The city is home to spring training for the Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox and Diamondbacks Arizona.
The Arizona Diamondbacks' AAA team, the Tucson Sidewinders, provides a great summer evening with family Tucson Electric Park. In September '06, the Sidewinders won their first title in the Pacific Coast League Championship. Also, a few days later, they became 2006 AAA beating the champions of the International League Toledo Mudhen.
For fans of college, the University of Arizona, a member of the prestigious Pac-10 Conference, have teams in all major sports men and women of the NCAA. Basketball and softball for men, women have recently been national champions.
For many years, Tucson has been home to two professional tournaments on the circuit, the Chrysler Classic PGA Tournament and the PING / Welch 's Championship races of the LPGA. As of February 2007, Tucson will host the Accenture Match Play Championship. Sixty-four of the World's Top-ranked Golfers will compete on the gallery breathtaking at Dove Mountain Golf Course at Marana, and aim to award $ 7.5 million.
Gates Pass – West TucsonOther major events include NASCAR, racing horses and greyhounds, and the annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros, the largest rodeo in full winter in the Tucson United States has much to offer to all outdoor enthusiasts.
