Such is the non traditional side of the economic downturn we need to consider as well!
Behaviors that discourage use of public facilities because of selective discrimination must be reckoned with.
True, and that has been the story of Raed Jarrar, in August 2006 at New York’s JFK Airport who has been harassed because of Arabic writings in his T-Shirt saying “We will not be silent”.
That is enough to say that frequent discrimination and harassment still arise as part of security measures in effect nationwide…How many other cases remain unchecked in US terminals that contribute to feed that rejection of airports a REALITY…as anything is subject to unvested scrutiny.
A security rationale may opt to rely on Facts and chose to downplay common sense which then ceases to be common to those at the checkpoints… No matter how emotional Transportation Security Authority agents might feel, they will still have to pay attention to the fact that beyond their Positions and Prerogatives, their Behaviors and personal emotional patterns are affecting the way we are used to travel… out of fear and suspicion!
Same as markets, travel industry is most likely relevant to the moods we instill in the air… and unfortunately some unprofessional conducts in addition to biased behaviors are fueling the rejection for air travel to the point where people are getting back to trains, cars and rideshare options… the question is: is it policy related or distorted policy adaptation? In any event, “We will not be silent.”
