What a good neighboorhood (near center) to live in Seattle for a young couple?

Hi, I'll probably work primarily in Seattle next year for a company just south of I-90 (North Beacon Hill). Looking to rent housing to namely: – safe – clean – at most a 20 min trip in the region by the Med Pac – relatively inexpensive (1000-1200 $ ideal, but in 1600 its ok if Foxy) – Either newly built or refurbished I do not necessarily looking for a particular complex. I want to know what are the best neighboorhood that sound like a young couple of adventurers, like it there (and roughly correspond to the criteria above).

Brock hi … consider either the Capital Hill, Queen Anne and Belltown neighborhoods all have new and old structures mixed together. In addition, many young people are concentrated in these three communities, and especially they are close to downtown and not too far a trip to Pac and Med. Crime varies around Seattle, but in these two communities, it is not also spread to other communities such as south of Seattle. Consider browsing through the local Housing craigslist http://seattle.craigslist.org/hhh/ for help have an idea of rent.
