Has this ever happened to you in South Station, Boston?
Location: South Station- Boston, MA
Have you ever been approached by a tall white male asking for some money so that he can take the commuter rail home? He claimed he was the owner of a construction company, wove a really well-developed tale about he was completely innocent and would send a check back right away, took down my mailing address (which is different from my living address) and cell phone number, and even offered to let me phone his wife and ask her if he’s lying or not. Turned out to be a liar.
I’m sliiightly (very) bitter about this. Just curious if anyone else has met this guy.
That’s happened to me several times at South Station, by more than one person, and I’ve never given any of them money before. I’ve heard very similar stories from each of these people. I go through South Station at least a couple times a week and I’ve heard the same story probably half a dozen times over the past few months. I just keep walking – don’t even make eye contact. Just ignore them. Don’t even listen to them long enough to give them your address or anything.
