Where’s the best place to live within a 45-60 minute car commute of Chatswood, North Sydney.?
Looking for an area good for families with good schools and somewhere I could find a 5 bedroom house on a large plot for around 500,000 AUD. Within 45 minutes drive of a beach would be good but not essential. Does such a place exist ??? If not how far out would I need to be? Thanks in advance

The only area I can think of fitting the requirements would be the Central Coast, but its a fair distance north of Chatswood. Otherwise $500,000 doesn’t buy you much in Sydney unless you’re willing to look in Sydney’s western suburbs.
That said, five bedrooms is a lot for a standard house, most only have 3-4, so you will probably find it hard to find 5 for $500,000, even in the western suburbs or Central Coast. You might need to lower your expectations
