Will I get a ticket if the driver, but im my co workers insisted on stopping to buy beer .. I do not drink but my work as co I brought home from carpool .. I live in Texas and there is an open container law, but they give the ticket that actually with the container or the driver automatically?

No. As long as there are no open containers in the car and the beer is completely out of your reach … as the trunk. This has happened to me a few months ago, I'm only 20 and I was with a friend who bought a couple of bottles and put them in the trunk. I stopped for a broken taillight and since I'm training, I had to let the cop search my car, he found alcohol in the trunk and I didn't get ticket.
