where the air jet backpack?

with every reason to hate a car (damage to the environment, cost, maintenance, etc.), why have we not invented back air jets yet? … Would not it be great to just wear a backpack, a couple out Handlebar, takeoff and fly?!? that would be great to get to work, savings vehicles for trips to the grocery store to bulk purchases … I do not know … It just seems like we are far behind our potential …

Could you imagine doing a DUI on one of these babies. LOL, thought to have fired on deviations from your jetpack just makes me laugh.
