Toyota Prius – buy now or wait for new model?
I was going to buy a Toyota Prius next week but I’m hesitating because I’m wondering if I should just wait for the new model. I believe the new model is expected next year at a rumored 90mpg (realistically 70mpg), so if tha’ts the case shouldn’t I wait? but i’d really like to get a hybrid now, and the carpool lane benefit is a nice plus. I drive a 2005 accord right now. Anyone knowledgeble about hybrids/prius that can give me some advice? Thanks.
KEEP your Accord. You will NOT be happy with a prius as they don’t get anywhere NEAR the advertsied mileages. Actually I believe the prius in regular every day use gets worse mileage than your accord will but the YUPPINESS Makes you feel like you are doing something better. If you really want a car that gets better mileage go buy a VW Jetta with a Diesel engine, these engines get over 50 MPG EASY and diesel fuel while it looks ALOT worse than gas fuel coming out of an exhaust pipe is better for the environment thatn gas exhaust.
