van go carpool
Got a 21655.5 (B) quote on a freeway on-ramp to avoid an accident.?

This happened on Gage Avenue Shooting southbound on the 110 on ramp. I completed my turn is on the ramp when a gray van in front of me slammed on his brakes and avoid an accident, I swerved to the carpool lane of the ramp. I quickly checked my mirrors to see if I can swerve and I could, what happened in the blink of an eye. I mean I just centimeters of the strike and we were not going that fast, approx. 25 mph. I kept driving and merging onto I-110. I then see a approach CHP officer driver's side of my car and I looked to see if I had passengers, he saw and did not hit the lights. I tried to explain the situation, but it just went away and returned with a 21655.5 (B) which means I came in the carpool lane by accident. My question is, if I'm in court and contest the ticket, will they reject it because of the situation I was in? But again its going to be my word against his. Any advice, if any?

My golden rule is that if it is not the way the citation said, is still fighting. Goverments should not get away with cheating. make the justice system do its work. They want to get charges to stick with people who deny it then they better be prepared to work to make it stick. Do not simply take the word of a cop is better than a civilian. A word is a word is a word. Make this cop came to the court and Lie if what the cop said adventure did not really happen. Do not just roll over and give as many people think you should. If you're right you're right. Have reason being is right is right. Whether you are a civilian, police officer, judge or lawyer. Law is the law and the law needs to win. Good luck.
