Thinking of relocating to Waldorf, Maryland. All information on what the city is how?

I currently live in Alexandria, Virginia and love, but the housing prices are too high here. I was told that Waldorf Maryland cheaper real estate. Any one what the city is how? Is this a good place to live? How are the schools? Are there good restaurants and entertainment? Is it an easy commute to DC for work? Real estate is cheaper than in Alexandria?

I grew up there and it is incredibly crowded … when I growing up, there were about three shopping centers … now its overgrown and overcrowded. They added a home much more without keeping the roads to growth. It is all chain restaurants and shopping channel … there is not really unique places to eat or shop. The schools are all or nothing … this which depends largely developed areas by the department. You can see more about the school system on the site: www.greatschools.net. La Plata to the south A few sites more unique and historic, but La Plata is rapidly growing as well. Most people take 228 to Route 210 to go to DC, as you brought up the Ring Road and 295, etc. Driving through Fort Washington (where there is fire every 50 feet) in the morning is certainly not a picnic … The Wilson Bridge is also a nightmare … estate may be less expensive there, but personally I would not budge!
