I’m taking a job in Sterling VA, but my boyfriend may be working more toward Alexandria/D.C….?
We’ve been looking for apartments in the Reston area thinking that would be the mid-point for both of us, but I’m not sure about the area.
I was hoping someone could fill me in on the Reston location…price, commute (to Sterling and to the city), safety, etc., or even offer up any advice on any other nearby locations that could offer decent/affordable housing that wouldn’t be a bad commute for either of us!! Thanks so much!!
Reston is nice but the commute for your boyfriend from Reston to AIexandria would probably be too long and could have negative impact… Vienna is a bit expensive unless one of you worked in the Tysons Corner area and I think the better choice and more mutually convenient area is Chantilly and Centreville…
Best of Luck bec traffic to/from Sterling and Herndon can be hectic during Rush Hour….
